Video Training

Video training courses

Over the years we've realised that sometimes, all people need is a little training to be able to make great videos themselves.

We know that everyone's needs and budgets are different, which is why we offer two types of video training: online courses that you can watch and play back at any time, or bespoke in-person training with us.

In-person video training

Whether you're a hobbyist that wants a bit of help setting up shots, or a sales team looking to use video on their phones for prospecting, we work with the kit you have (or want) and give feedback on your progress as we go. We typically get asked about:

Camera / Phone camera setup

Camera settings can be confusing - most people never get past the auto ones. We'll teach you which settings you need to enable you to get the best quality video from your kit.

Scene setup

We'll show you how to get the best from your location, how to set up your scene and how to watch out for things that could distract viewers and take the focus away from the subject.

Lighting

You don't need expensive lighting equipment. We'll show you how to get the most flattering light with the kit you have, or just by using the everyday items and light-sources around you.

Audio

We don't want you to sound like you're vlogging from the bathroom, so we'll show you how to use any microphones you have, or advise which one might be a good investment.

Filming

We'll let you loose on your filming, giving you tips specific to you. You'll use your camera / phone and your own lights (where appropriate) - we want you to get the best out of your kit.

Editing

If you need to edit your video together, we'll show you how to do a basic grade, tweak the sound, add some music and any other sound effects you'd like.

Online Video training

We currently have three online courses, which are great for people to dip in and out of at their own pace.

Vlogging Training

Whether you want to vlog for work or pleasure, some people seem to have a knack of making great looking and sounding vlog posts, just with their phone or camera. But how?

How to look and sound professional in online meetings

Before 2020, not many of us held online meetings. Even today, many people still have issues with audio quality, their background or how to not cut their own head off on camera. Let's get it sorted.

Social selling online

Nick is joined by Matthew Dashper-Hughes from Sandler Training for a look at some basics of how to combine video and social media to ethically sell your products and services.
